Marie Faivre
Architectural Assistant
Marie joined MATT in 2021 after completing her Part 1 studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. She works on a range of projects but is mainly assisting the completion of the fit-out for Ilona Rose House.
When she first started at MATT doing work experience in 2016, she made a model for a residential project which inspired her love of model-making. Marie enjoys making models to spatialise design decisions. For her final degree project, Marie made a large-scale paper model of her proposal for a laboratory and landscape transforming the London City Airport runway into woodlands and wetlands. Her research focused on the re-use of existing materials in design to minimise carbon emissions in material extraction and construction.
Since then she’s expanded her material palette in model-making and now enjoys occasionally making architectural models out of cheese!
